When you’re starting out as an entertainment hypnotist, contracts can feel like a safeguard. You finally book a show—whether at a college, high school, or fair—and the client signs the paperwork. It feels official. Binding. Locked in.
But here’s the reality: contracts don’t always do as much for you as you think.
I wish someone had told me this early in my career, because it would have saved me a lot of frustration and confusion. The simple truth is that, in our industry, a signed contract doesn’t necessarily mean the show will happen.
